ATAS 適用對象：EEA 和瑞士之外的國際學生并且入讀英國研究生敏感類專業的學生
who are applying to study for a postgraduate qualification in certain sensitive subjects, knowledge of which could be used in programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) or their means of delivery, to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate before they can study in the UK. European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland
EEA 和瑞士之外的國際學生（無論申請時身處何處）如去英國就讀敏感類的研究生專業，則需要做ATAS 證書認證！敏感類專業：專業授課內容涉及到大規模殺傷性武器的制造或者運輸方式。
哪些專業需要做ATAS：
ATAS 認證只針對研究生主課，不涉及主課之前的語言課程！可在下面鏈接查詢課程 JACS Code ，判斷是否需要做ATAS 認證另外學校發offer 的時候也會標明該專業是否要求做ATAS 證書認證

查詢的時候只要輸入 JACS Code 的前兩個字符即可：
ATAS 證書有效期：6 個月
遞交簽證申請之前必須先拿到 ATAS 證書。
簽證最早可以在開課之前 3 個月遞交申請，因此ATAS 認證最早可以在開課之前9 個月遞交申請。建議在遞交主課簽證之前2-3 個月提交ATAS 申請。
ATAS 審理時間：
官方說法是遞交完整的申請后20 個工作日出結果。高峰期審理時間會更長。但是不保證能按時拿到證書。所以建議提前申請（拿到學校的有條件offer，且愿意去該學校，就可以開始著手申請ATAS 了）！
如果超過四周后，沒有任何消息，可以 email 至ATAS@fco.gov.uk 詢問審理進度。
ATAS 證書結果查詢方式：
沒有快捷的在線查詢方式，申請結果/證書會email 到注冊的郵箱。請及時查詢郵件，是否需要補充材料，是否通過認證！
另外還有垃圾箱和訂閱郵件也要查詢，避免遺漏！一個 ATAS 證書只對應一個學校的一個專業。不同學校的不同專業需要申請不同的ATAS 證書。但最終只能有一個用于遞交簽證申請！ATAS 證書沒有通過的話，簽證會被拒。

申請表格分為 10 個部分，每個部分都要盡可能填寫詳細完整。
1. Proposed Study 就讀專業（部分學校會發送專業名稱，專業 code，還有必修課和選修課的詳細信息，請根據學校提供的信息仔細填寫完整）
The university you are proposing to study with will provide you with all the relevant details for this section, eg in your conditional offer letter. In particular they will advise you of the appropriate JACS code and give you the correct form of words for the “What Will you be Studying” box. Please only use the university’s description here. You will be able to enhance this description in the next box: “Why do you want to Study This?”;
2. Personal Details 個人信息
拼寫錯誤和數字顛倒都可能導致 ATAS 不成功，一定要仔細檢查，確認無誤才能提交申請
Details from this section will be included in your ATAS certificate. Please complete this area fully and carefully and review at least once before submitting. Typos and transposed numbers are regular mistakes in this area and if the details provided do not match the details in your passport exactly, you will have trouble securing a Tier 4 study visa;
3. Spouse 配偶信息
（如已婚，而且配偶也要去讀敏感類專業，配偶也需要單獨申請ATAS 證書）
Please advise us if you are married and are planning to bring your spouse with you.
Please note that if your spouse chooses to study an ATAS relevant subject whilst in the UK accompanying you, they will be required to apply for their own ATAS certificate separately;
4. Contact Details 聯系方式
（確保留下正確的郵箱地址，并時常查詢郵件，垃圾郵件和訂閱郵件都有可能）
Please ensure that your contact details are accurate. The ATAS certificate will be sent to the preferred email address you enter in this section;
5. Undergraduate/Postgraduate Studies 本科/研究生學歷詳情
學位，專業名稱，專業課，畢業論文等都可提供，盡量詳細
Please provide as much detail as you are able on all previous undergraduate and postgraduate studies you have undertaken;
6. Other Studies 其他學習經歷（培訓或者進修等）
Please tell us if you have undertaken any other studies you think may be relevant to your application
7. Published Papers 發表的文章（學術的，專業的。本人，或者與他人合著的都可以）
Please tell us if you have had any academic or professional papers published, either on your own, or with co-publishers;
8. Employment History 工作經歷（詳細填寫）
Please tell us, with as much detail as possible, of any jobs you have held. Jobs that relate to your proposed course of study, or that have been secured based on previous studies, are particularly relevant;
9. Referees 推薦人（一般是兩封學術推薦信，最好是認識 3 年或以上的老 師。如已工作，可以一封是學術的，一封是工作的。家人不可以做推薦人） Please provide us with the details of two referees who have known you for a minimum of three years, preferably from your academic life. At least one of the referees should be from your under-graduate university. If you have any work experience, a referee from your employment would also be useful. A referee from your home country would be preferable, but it is not essential if you have studied and/or worked in another country. Please note family members are not acceptable;
10. Sponsors 資助者（自己/家人/其他機構等，請寫清楚姓名，地址等聯系
方式）
Please provide us with the details of any sponsors you may have for the funding of your proposed studies. If you are meeting all the costs of your studies yourself, please put your own name and address in the relevant boxes. If another family member is meeting the costs, please put down their details.
