英語專業(yè)的論文答辯主要分為兩部分：

自我陳述和回答答辯老師問題，下面對這兩部分進行詳細講解。

一、自述（用英語完成）：

1、先問好，再開始自述，自述時間為5－8分鐘，要簡明扼要，必要時可將自述內(nèi)容提綱制作成Powerpoint文件。

2、主要陳述內(nèi)容：

（1）自己選擇這個題目的原因；

（2）設計和實施的簡單過程（如，商務方向：采用什么方法來搜集信息、資料等）；

（3）自己論文的主要內(nèi)容（不要念論文，最好用4、5句話簡單介紹論文內(nèi)容，如，商務方向：做了哪些調(diào)查，得出什么結(jié)論，計劃如何實施項目）；

（4）仍然存在的問題（如，商務：在實施項目中可能會遇到的風險以及如何解決）；

3、最好準備相關文字并熟記（答辯時要脫稿陳述，但是可以看PPT文件）。

4、語言最好簡單清楚，不要直接用論文中內(nèi)容，應該用解釋性的句式，如：When I was designing the lessons, I found that….

答辯開場白

Distinguished professors and teachers, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending the oral defense. (或Welcome to attend the oral defense.)

I am XXX.Firstly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor XXX, for his intellectual guidance, invaluable instructions and comments on my thesis.It is with his valuable assistance that I have finally accomplished this thesis.

二、回答老師問題（老師用英語提問，學生用英語回答）：

1、大約有4－6個問題，時間將持續(xù)10－15分鐘。

2、首先要聽清楚問題，如果沒有聽清，可以要求老師重復問題（可以說pardon之類的話）。

3、回答時首先要態(tài)度好，要切題，而且不要保持沉默，不會時可以表示抱歉。

? 關于選題意義：What’s the importance/significance in doing such a

research/project?//What do you want the readers get from your thesis?


? 關于論文：

- 數(shù)據(jù)分析：How do you analyze your data? //How do you justify the

validity of your data analysis?

- 例證：Can you explain this example?

【對于翻譯類論文，答辯組可能會針對某些例句讓你解釋為什么在此種情況下要運用你所提議的翻譯方法，或者對于有問題的譯文讓你給出自己的譯文，或者臨時給出例子讓你運用相關翻譯方法進行翻譯

- 語言：In the xx paragraph on page xx, what do you mean?

論文存在的問題：如 In the last sentence on page … there are some

grammatical/spelling/…Errors.

常見問題匯總：

1.Presentation: twice as long as your abstract

2.Why did you choose this topic? /What made you choose this topic？

3.What are the major previous findings put forth by other scholars?

4.From what perspective did you try to approach the topic? What are your findings/new points?

5.In what way/ ways are your findings useful/related to your future life/career or job-seeking?

6.Do you believe in what …….says? Why or why not?

7.How do you feel after you have finished this thesis? (Experience)

In what way/ways does this experience help you understand yourself or the subject as a whole?

8. What are the limitations of your study/research? In what way or from what perspective can this topic be further studied or explored?

9. Have you read all the references listed at the end of the article? Do they turn out to be very helpful? Which one impresses you most? Why? Which scholar do you admire? Why?

總之，要通過論文答辯，應注意：

1.在平時的學習過程中必須注意提高自己的聽說能力。 

2.答辯前應做好充分的準備，最重要的是熟悉論文的內(nèi)容及自己的觀點。這一點十分重要，如果不熟悉論文的內(nèi)容及自己的觀點，答辯時很難自圓其說。

3.要有自信心。當然，自信心主要來自事先的充分準備。
4.帶一份定稿（要與老師們持有的論文頁碼一致）。
