樸茨茅斯大學（University of Portsmouth）是一所位于漢普郡樸茨茅斯市的英國大學。由Guildhall校區和Langstone校區組成。學校距離倫敦和主要機場只有一個多小時。樸茨茅斯廣泛地綜合新與舊并結合了濱海渡假地的樂趣和工商地區的蓬勃，樸茨茅斯也是英國海軍的基地，有歐洲最佳的歷史船只收藏。此校完全與城市融為一體，與當地業界和政府密切的交流，同時樸茨茅斯是個多元的社區，人們一起和諧的居住、工作。大學有許多不同的課程，一年兩學期的學制提供學生就讀適合其未來發展的課程。樸茨茅斯大學在各校畢業生就業的比例上一直有良好的表現。
歷史
1869年，“普茲茅斯及戈斯波特科學與藝術學校”成立。由于海運和貿易是該市的基礎，因而學校主要的功能是訓練那些在碼頭及皇家海軍船塢工作的工程師以及技工。但是由于二戰納粹德國的空襲，使得該市的海運業衰退以及人口下降，學校被迫改變了教學大綱和手段去吸引更多的學生。
這樣一直到了20世紀60年代，因為得到了政府的資助，學校更名為普茲茅斯工藝學院。

校園設施
樸茨茅斯大學一直以來以擁有功能性強的圖書館而感到自豪，包含了傳統與最新科技的設備。在一校舍擴建計劃下，最近已有二幢專門建造的新大樓開放使用，還有一些其他開發項目(包括學生宿舍)，目前既有新宿舍也正在全面整修當中。電腦設備為最佳者之一，學校會持續更新替換軟件，以確保軟、硬件設備會一直維持最新狀態。
學聯是學校和城市生活的一部分，有活潑的社交活動和優良的設備，包括社交與運動社團。新生園游會讓學生有機會發掘多種活動。許多社團還是專為國外學生而設。
樸茨茅斯大學對了解外國學生遇到的問題非常有經驗，所有外籍新生保證第一年的校園宿舍，包括大二或大二以上的學生。學年開始會安排完整的介紹課程、城市和大學導覽，加上社交與學術活動確保學生為其開學第一天做好萬全準備。學校為需要額外協助的學生提供免費的額外英語和全年開課之學期前英語課程，有眾多外國學生的學院和系所有自己的外國學生福利專員。此外，學校的國際學生辦公室是所有國際學生的主要聯絡和咨詢處。
學術
該大學提供兩百多種本科學位及150多種碩士學位，此外還有六十五種研究碩士學位。該大學為私立高等教育機構盎格魯-歐洲脊椎神經學學院（Anglo-European College of Chiropractic）頒發專業博士學位。原先也為私立教育機傳統針灸和東方醫學學院（London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine）頒發針灸榮譽理學士學位和中醫理科碩士學位。但該學院在2011年倒閉。2008年，科研評估將其八個部門評為“世界領先”在“Allied Health Professions and Studies”、“Applied Mathematics”和“European Studies”的研究質量中排在全英前十。
